On August 5 the Planning Commission holds a public hearing on removing off-street parking minimums citywide. If it passes, property owners decide how much parking new projects include, not the code. That affects housing costs, surface lots, and street parking on your block.

The city is running participatory budgeting in District 5: residents propose projects for $1.6 million in climate resilience money, then residents vote. Anyone who lives, works, learns, or plays in the district qualifies.
